    Platycerium / Staghorn Fern Great sized plants  The Staghorn fern is a houseplant which has two distinct types of fronds - antler fronds that resemble stag’s antlers and round shield fronds.  In their native habitats, these ferns grow non-parasitically on the trunks and branches of trees or on rocks.  These look great in a hanging pot as once the antler shaped leaves grow they begin to fall over the edge of the pot.  Each long leaf has a fuzzy texture and is shaped at the end in a very unique way.
